This topic will cover the advanced level of auto-responder creation which will allow you to send series of auto-responders based on the triggered event such as subscription, link click or forward to a friend.

To create a new autoresponder go to Subscriber Lists > Mailing Lists > Auto Responders.

Now click on the “Create a new auto responder” button – this will show you the screen as displayed below.

Enter the name of the autoresponder – select the event when the autoresponder would trigger – select the Send Frequency whether the autoresponder should be sent immediately or over the time frame of seconds, minutes, hours etc. For this example we will select our first autoresponder to be sent immediately. Now under the email menu you can select the email’s if any existing auto responder email has been created or you can click on the “Create a new email” button and create a new email.

Once your email creation is done or email selection is done click on the “Create” button and finish creating your first autoresponder.

Now we will schedule our second autoresponder to be sent after 1 day. Follow the same procedure to create our second autoresponder – and at the time of selecting the Send frequency select “days later” from the drop down and enter “1″ in the box before the drop down. Select an existing email or create a new email and by clicking “Create” finish the creation of your auto responder.

Now the series of auto responders will be sent using the following frequency.

• (1) first autoresponder will be fired when the person subscribes to the list
• (2) second autoresponder will be sent to him after one day

The series of autoresponder can be really helpful when you want to send follow up emails to your clients at a set interval or based on the triggers – such as link click, forward to friend etc.
