How can I create a campaign?

ClientContactPro provides an easy to use and simple process to create a new campaign. The all new interface and completely redesigned process is as easy as 1-2-3.

In order to create a new campaign click on the “Campaign” menu found on the top navigation bar. This will take you to the screen where you will be able to see the list of existing campaigns already created within the system as shown in the below screen shot.

Now click on the “Create a new campaign” link which will generate a dialogue box asking you to enter the campaign name as shown below. Enter your campaign name and then hit the “Create” button.

This will take you to the campaign settings menu where in you can select the existing campaign email or create a new one, set the schedule whether the email should be sent immediately or in future, select a single or multiple recipient lists and you can also enter the domain names which can be tracked through Google Analytics.

You can also publish the campaign being created as an RSS feed.

Now in order to create a new email for your campaign – click on the “Create a new email” link next to the drop down field for Email field. This will create a new email creation dialogue as shown in the below screen.

ClientContactPro provides a very advanced email building tool which will allow you to create a nicely formatted html as well text based emails for your campaigns. This dialogue box will help you to set the name of the email – the from and reply-to addresses and the option on whether to embed the images while sending the campaign or not.

There is an option for you to tick which can allow you to fetch the content from a remote URL – we will check this out later part of the process.

Here we will enter the name of the email in the first field and click on the “Save” button next to the field box. You can now set the from address and reply-to address – once these addresses are configured you can click on the “Layout” tab. Layout will allow you to either select a template available within the system or you can just select the empty layout which can help you create an email on the fly. When you click on the Layout tab you should see a screen as shown in the following screen shot.

The above screen will give you the option to select the pre-defined and designed template. In case if you do not want to use pre-defined template you can simply click on the “Empty” layout and then proceed to click on the “Content” tab. For this example we will select the pre-defined layout and click on the “Content” tab, the below screen should appear.

Now enter the subject of your email and make changes to your content through the html editor available. You can also create a text version of your email by clicking on the “View plain content” link. Once you are done making the changes and editing the content you can click on the “Attachments” tab. ClientContactPro offers you to add attachments to your email campaign – when you click on the “Attachments” tab you should see the below screen.

In order to upload your attachments you can simply click on the “choose file” button and select the file from your hard disk – as soon as you select the file ClientContactPro will start uploading the file and refresh the dialogue box once the upload is done.

After your attachments are added you can click on the “Preview” tab which will take you to the previewing menu of Email Builder as shown in the below screenshot.

ClientContactPro provides several different methods of previewing email as well it also allows you to generate the spam report for the email based on several standard parameters.

You can preview the email by sending it to an email, you can preview it on the browser by clicking a link next to browser preview – and you can click on the “Generate spam report for this email” button and get the details whether what kind of spam score your email will generate. Once everything is finalized and you are satisfied with the preview you can simply click on the “Save” Button and on the upper right corner you can click the (x) icon and close the dialogue.

Once you return back to the campaign settings screen you can click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page. Once your email is saved, based on the schedule you have defined it will start the sending.

Can I check the quick statistics of the campaign?

Yes – you can. In order to do that you will need to click on the “Campaigns” menu and then whichever campaign you wish to see the quick statistics you can just simply click on the name of the campaign. This will show you the quick statistics such as “Email Opens”, “Click rate” and Unsubscriptions. This will look like as shown in the below screenshot.

Can I check the spam rating for the email which is being created for the campaign?

ClientContactPro provides an advanced but easy to use spam ration tool which will make an assessment of different headers, body and other elements of the email and get you the spam report. In order to do the spam testing of your email – you need to be on the last step of the Email Building process the “Preview” tab. Under the spam reports – you can click on the “Generate spam report for this email” button – this will generate the report as shown in the below screenshot.

Please be aware that the spam report is generated based on the standard methods of Spamassassin. This may vary from mail server to mail server. The report is for your reference so that you can fine tune your newsletter and ensure that it is not tracked as a SPAM email.

Is it possible to personalize the newsletter?

ClientContactPro provides some advanced personalization techniques which can be used to personalize your newsletter. This helps you to better cater to your customers and make them feel that the email is better addressed to them.

To personalize your emails you will have to be under the “Content” editing mode under the Email Builder dialogue. As you can see in the below screenshot the red box highlighting the “%” sign is the menu which can be used to quickly add personalization content.

When you click on the “%” icon you should get drop down menu which will allow you to select the fields and different information for personalization. The screenshot below shows how it looks when clicked.

You can personalize your newsletter and emails with Subscriber Information, Campaign links, Subscriber list links and user information.

Can I personalize the subject line of my campaign email?

Yes – ClientContactPro allows you to add the personalization tags within the subject line of your campaign email. To personalize your subject – please click on the “%” found next to the subject line text box and it will allow you to select different fields which can be personalized as shown in the screenshot.
