Google Analytics integration

Google Analytics is a free website activity tracking and reporting tool provided by Google. ClientContactPro already provides you all tools and statistical data to determine the performance of your email campaigns. Addition to this valuable data, Google Analytics integration helps you to continue tracking your recipient activity on your website after clicking a link inside your newsletter. Integration will make measuring the conversion rate (sales, membership, downloads, etc.) of your email campaign possible.

Integrating With Google Analytics

In order to integrate ClientContactPro and Google Analytics, you will need to have a Google Analytics account. If you don’t have any, just go to http://www.google.com/analytics/ to sign-up for a free Google Analytics account.

Once you have an active Google Analytics account, integrating your email campaigns with your GA account will be an easy task to complete. In campaign create/edit process, just enter domains you wish to track in your Google Analytics account:

Notice: Domains you have entered must have an active website profile in your Google Analytics account.

Campaigns with enabled Google Analytics integration will be filtered through integration process and all links inside the email content will be converted to Google Analytics compatible links.

Accessing Campaign Reports in Google Analytics

Once a Google Analytics integrated campaign is sent to your recipients, you can start tracking the recipient activity on your web site by logging into your Google Analytics.

In order to view campaigns that are sending visitors to your website, go to “Traffic Sources > Campaigns” section in your Google Analytics account:

You can track the following in your Google Analytics account:

  • Visits from your email campaigns
  • Goal conversion rates (visits to sales, etc.)
  • E-commerce reports (total sales, etc.)
  • Tracking activity of individual subscribers
  • Seeing efficient links (ex: contact links on different parts of your email content)
